'Abd-Allaah Ibn Mas’ood [May Allaah be Pleased with him] said, “Shaytaan will take the form of a man and he will go to a people, narrating to them Hadeeth, and they will accept it from him spread it. They will say, "We heard from an unknown man (i.e. Islaamic knowledge must be taken from verified scholars).”"
'AbdAllah ibn 'Amr ibn ‘Aas [May Allaah be Pleased with him] said, “There are Shayaateen that have been imprisoned in the sea by Sulaymaan [Peace be upon him] and they will come out and they will recite the Quraan to the people and they will narrate to them Hadeeth. They are not truthful and do not accept their narrations (i.e. Islaamic knowledge)."
