Al-Uthaymeen: People are Searching for Something

People go everywhere looking for themselves to be entertained, so that pain and fatigue will be removed from themselves.

However, nothing will truly remove it except Eman. True Eman is what creates contentment. The content person is the one who is the believer. They are protected in the Dunya and are safe from punishment on the Day of Judgement.

Al-Uthaymeen: Straighten Your Affairs when Tested

If you find yourself during difficulty being patient, then wait for relief from Allah. Seek reward from Allah (whilst waiting) because these are the symbols of Eman.

But if you find yourself doing the opposite, then blame yourself, straighten your affairs (with Him) and repent to Allah.

al-Uthaymeen: Keep Asking Your Lord (the Most High)

From the etiquettes of Dua is that a person shows persistance. He should repeat even if he hasn't received a response yet in the first instance or the second, he should keep repeating.

Surely, Allah (the Most High) will prevent an answering of Dua at the first time in asking in order for them to increase in asking their Lord. To show poverty towards Him.

Also, it could be a test for the servant. Will the servant continue supplicating to Allah or will they despair and stop asking, so that they are prevented?

al-Khudayr: Wiping over Shoes Must Cover the Ankles

Question: What is the ruling on wiping over the shoes during the cold?

Answer: Shoes that do not cover ankles are not permitted to wipe over. It is not permitted to wipe over anything which doesn't cover the entire foot - if it doesn't cover the entire area of obligatory washing. Footwear that the ankles cannot be seen, otherwise such footwear would not take the same name as a "Khuff", and wiping has been legislated over (what is similar to) the Khuff and not over shoes (that does not cover the ankle).
