E-book: How to Build a Home Through Islamic Transactions by Shaykh Sa'd bin Naasir ash-Shathri (Allah Preserve him)

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

All Praises are for Allah and may Allah send His Peace and Blessings upon Muhammad, his family and all those who follow him in goodness until the Last Day. To begin:

This book was authored by the Shaykh long before the advent of Islamic mortgages that currently exist in the West. Therefore, this book is not a description on how to buy an Islamically compliant asset whilst living in the West, rather it is a book which extracts from the books of Fiqh on the many ways that the scholars have stated are permissible for us to acquire an asset.

Therefore, this book is not an attempt to clarify, or even rectify the current and ever changing Islamic finance modules that exist, rather it is to illustrate the various types of transactions which are Islamically valid.

The Shaykh gives ten types of Islamically valid purchases; their rulings, their forms and as an added benefit, which could hopefully add advice to the would-be investor/purchaser, the Shaykh lists a number of advantage and disadvantages to each type of trade.

Please note, all of these can be applied to the purchase of any item, be it a house, a car or otherwise.

We ask Allah to make this beneficial and that Allah, the Most High, Rewards the Shaykh for his efforts, and that He Alleviates the pressures off the Muslim Ummah, and that He Blesses them with whatever He Grants them.

al-Usaymee: Beware of Removing Extremism with Extremism

Shaykh Saaleh bin Abdillah al-Usaymee (Allah Preserve him)

Member of the Committee of Senior Scholars

Beware of repelling extremism affiliated with religion with extremism that eradicates religion. A corrupt medicine only increases the disease.

The who doesn’t know what is falsehood will not recognize the truth. And if a weapon is in the hands of someone who doesn’t know, he will [undoubtedly] attack his ally, rather it could even kill the one holding it.
