Shaykh Sa'ood ibn Ibraaheem Shuraym's Fatwa against doing Dua'a in Congregation after Obligatory Prayers

Question posed to Shaykh Sa’ood ibn Ibraaheem ash-Shuraym [May Allaah preserve him]
After Salaat al-Fajr in Masjid al-Haram, approx. Rajab 1427
Sharh Nathm al-Habeer fi Usool at-Tafseer, tape 14 [Audio is attached]
Question: Most people after finishing Salaah or other deeds, they do Dua’ like ‘Oh Allaah, accept it from us’ or they pray Faatihah or do pray Faatihah within the Dua’a, what is the Hukm on this?
Shaykh Sa’ood: Meaning, in some places the people believe that the Imaam, once finishing the Salaah, must leave on his right or he must shake hands with people on the right and the left and greet them, whilst doing Du’a saying, ‘May Allaah accept it from me and from you’ or he may say stay safe, or they may do Dua’a in a congregation or they may do some kind of Dhikr after Salaah aloud in unison etc.
I say: If you want the Sunnah of the Prophet, May Allah’s peace and Blessings be upon him, and you want to follow it, the way Allaah has ordered us to, and the way the Prophet, May Allah’s peace and Blessings be upon him, ordered us to, then none of the above has been narrated and has no precedence in the Sunnah. People do these things and they are not doing the Sunnah of the Prophet [May Allah’s peace and Blessings be upon him], rather they are going against it.
It is narrated in the Sunnah that the Prophet [May Allah’s peace and Blessings be upon him] would do certain Dhikr after Salaah by himself and not in a group, such as saying:
أستغفر الله ، أستغفر الله ، أستغفر الله،
I ask Allaah for forgiveness [three times]
اللهم أنت السلام ومنك السلام تباركت ياذا الجلال و الإكرام
Oh Allaah! You are As-salaam and from you is Salaam, Blessed are You, Oh Possessor of Majesty and Honour
لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له لك الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شئ قدير ، اللهم لا مانع لما أعطيت ولا معطي لما منعت ، ولا ينفع ذا الجد منك الجد
None has the right to be worshipped except Allaah, alone without partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise and He is over all things All-Powerful. Oh Allaah! None can prevent what You have Willed to bestow and none can bestow what You have Prevented, no wealth or majesty can benefit anyone as from You is all wealth and majesty.
None has the right to be worshipped except Allaah, alone without partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise and He is over all things All-Powerful. There is no might nor power except with Allaah, none has the right to be worshipped except Allaah and we worship none except Him. For Him is all Favour,  Grace and Glorious Praise. None has the right to be worshipped except Allaah and we are sincere and devoted to Him in our faith, although the disbelievers detest it.
And is narrated that he would recite Ayaat al-Kursi and Surah Ikhlaas, Surah Falaq and Surah Naas after every obligatory prayer. So it is important for us to act by the Sunnah and do what he did and to do this by ourselves and not as part of a group. The Imaam does this by himself and those behind the Imaam do it on their own.
As for the act that some people do, that after the Salaah one of the congregation stands up or puts himself forward and he supplicates aloud and the people behind him say ‘Ameen’ allowed, then this is not from the Sunnah and it is not correct. Some people do Dhikr aloud after Salah, this is also not correct. Some people do this Dua’a in congregation and at the end of the Dua’a they recite Faatihah, then this is not correct either, rather it is goes against the Sunnah and against the intellect as well. We don’t end Du’a by reciting Surah Fatihaah, rather in the start of the Salaah we recite Faatihah so the Dua’a if anything should start with the Faatihah and not end with it. It also goes against the Sunnah because the Prophet [May Allah’s peace and Blessings be upon him] told us to end our Du’a by sending Peace and Blessings upon him and not by reciting the Faatihah![1]
This is correct way to end you Dua as this is from the Sunnah. Also, when one is doing Ruqyah upon someone, then the Ruqyah starts with the Faatihah and doenst end with it, so this practice is against the Sunnah and against the intellect.
Therefore the correct view and the Sunnah is to do the above described adkhaar individually and not to congregate and supplicate or do dhikr in congregation, aloud.

[1] Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “Du’aa’ is detained between the heavens and the earth and no part of it is taken up until you send blessings upon your Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).” (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 486; classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi, 403).
Imaam al-Nawawi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said in al-Adhkaar, p 176: “The scholars are agreed that it is mustahabb to start one’s du’aa’ by praising Allaah, then sending blessings upon the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), and to end the du’aa’ in the same manner. There are many marfoo’ reports on this subject (i.e., reports which are attributed to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)).”
