Shaykh Sa’ood bin Ibraaheem ash-Shuraym, Imaam and Khateeb of
Masjid al-Haram in Makkah, tweeted:
Friday has been called al-Jumu’ah because it is a time where
people congregate (Jam’) to pray. If only the Muslims took the reverence they
had for this day and applied it the Ummah as a whole, we would have power and stability
throughout the week, just as we do on the day of Jumu’ah.
