Ibn Sa’d reported in at-Tabaqaat al-Kubraa (8/224) that
‘Uthmaanbin al-Qaasim said, “When Umm Ayman made Hijrah, she lodged for the
night near a place called ar-Rawhaa. She was fasting and had nothing to break
her fast with, not even water. She was in a state of intense thirst. She saw a bucket
of water came down from the sky. The water was gleaming white and she drank
from it to her fill. She said about this experience that. “After drinking the
water on that day, I have never felt thirst. Even if I am fasting an extremely
hot day, I never feel thirsty.””
