To accept the authentic texts when they come is a way to
honour the Sunnah. One should not deny or have doubt in any of it. Rather the
one who honours the Sunnah accepts what is authentic wholeheartedly with one’s
head (i.e. intellect) and eyes (i.e. doubt), thus hearing and obeying without
any restriction.
“But no, by your
Lord, they can have no Faith, until they make you (O Muhammad) judge in all
disputes between them, and find in themselves no resistance against your
decisions, and accept (them) with full submission.”
[Nisaa 4:65]
Submitting (or at-Tasleem) means intention (in the Arabic
language) but in this context it means a goal or a purpose. Therefore one’s
Eeman can only be completed until they submit without any doubt or rejection.
