How to Benefit from Ramadhaan (9): Legislated Dhikr: there are many forms of Dhikr that carry great virtue. One of them is in the following narration:
Ibn Abee Shaybah reported that Ibn 'Umar used to say after every Salaah and before going to sleep:
Allaah is the Sublimely the Greatest, by the number of the all the odd and even in the creation, His Words are Perfect, Complete, of all-Goodness and full of all-Blessings, and there is no god but him.
Whoever says this three times after the obligatory prayers and before going to sleep, his grave will be illuminated and a bridge of light will be placed over the Siraat for him to cross.
Classed as Hasan by Ibn Hajar in Fath al-Baaree and al-Albaanee said about this, "It is not possible that he made this form of Dhikr up, he must have been instructed by the Prophet to do this."
