How to Benefit from Ramadhaan (10) - Dhikr and Its Relation to Correcting 'Aqeedah:
It is narrated that the Prophet (Peace and Blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to say upon completing the Witr prayer:
It is narrated that the Prophet (Peace and Blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to say upon completing the Witr prayer:
Glory be to Allaah, the Holy King, the Lord of the Angels and the Spirit (i.e Jibreel).
He would say this thrice and the third time he would raise his voice slightly.
From this narration we learn at least two lessons:
1) the love of the Companions (May Allaah be Pleased with them all) for the a Prophet and his Sunnah (Peace of Allaah be upon him), as they noted every from of Dhikr down to the tone of voice (e.g. raising his voice in the third).
2) that those who wish to remain ignorant in matters of 'Aqeedah and even innovate within them, can never truly glorify Allaah, the Most High. As glorifying Allaah means removing from Him all deficiency and affirming for Him all perfection.
