Maysarah
used to travel with the Prophet for business purposes as both were employed by
Khadijah. Maysarah would witness great characteristics in Muhammad and would
always report them back to Khadeejah. As a result, she grew fondness to him and
married him when he was 25 years old.
Commentary
-Prophet
Muhammad was known for his trustworthiness and manners and Maysarah witnessed
this first hand.
-Khadeejah
bint Khuwaylid was from the best of women ever created. Jibreel would give her Salaam
and she has been guaranteed a house in Jannah by Allaah.
[TN: Ibn
Hajar comments on the virtues of Khadeejah and stated that she was a woman of
great wisdom and goodness and had a lot of love for the Prophet. She will be rewarded with a house in Jannah
without any Qasab (clay) or Nasab (tiredness) or Khasab (loud noises) because
she was the first one from Ahl al-Bayt, and her house was refuge for the
prophet. It was also said that she was a good wife that looked after the home]
-He
was a very trustworthy and married her despite her being 15 years older than
him. He didn’t marry anyone else whilst being married to her and he had 6
children with her, 4 girls and 2 boys.
