It is reported from Hudhaifa that news reached him (the Holy Prophet) that a certain man carried tales. Upon this Hudhaifa remarked:
I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying: The tale-bearer shall not enter Paradise.
Explanation
-Namimah is to spread speech with the intent of creating discord/Fitnah, this was the view of al-Jawhari
Al-Ghazali said it's worse than this; it's any form of negative exposure.
-Actions to take with Nameemah: don't believe
it, forbid it, it causes the Anger of Allaah so we must hate it, don't have bad
thoughts of the other party and don't transmit what you heard, this was the view of al-Ghazali.
-In times of need, spreading news may be Wajib
or Mustahab.
