Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allaah have Mercy on him) says:
Fruitful knowledge that brings about fear of Allaah will result in a person acting to please him…
Allaah, the Most High, Says:
﴿ سيذكر من يخشى ﴾
“The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah)” (87:10)
Those who Fear Allaah (whilst having/seeking knowledge of Him) will be the only ones to take admonition from the Quraan.
And He, the Most High, also Says:
﴿ وما يتذكر إلا من ينيب﴾
“And none remembers but those who turn (to Allah) in obedience and in repentance (by begging His Pardon and by worshipping and obeying Him Alone and none else).” (40:13)
Likewise, those who return to the obedience of Allaah will be the only ones who take admonition from the Quraan.
