Qatadah bin Da’aamah[1]
(Allah have mercy on him) said:
The Munaafiq is not able to stand during the night.

is the Haafith of his time, an authority in Tafseer and Hadeeth. He met and
narrated from Anas bin Maalik and Abdullah bin Sarjis (may Allah be pleased
with them) and from Sa’eed bin Musayyab, ‘Ikrimah, al-Hasan al-Basri, ‘Ata bin
Abee Rabaah and others. Sufyan ath-Thawri (Allah have mercy on them all) said
about him, “The world has not seen a scholar like Qataadah.”
