Shaykh Muhammad bin Saaleh al-‘Uthaymeen [may Allaah have
Mercy on him] said:
Sometimes people are bothered by something very important
that is happening in their lives, and when they enter the Salaat, Shaytaan
intensifies the persons train of thought. He says to them, “Remember this?” or
“Remember that”, to the extent that he is reminded of things that he doesn’t
even want to be reminded of! The Shaytaan is relentless with the person who
prays – his sole purpose is to corrupt the worship of this person. Leaving the acts
of worship as hollow bodies without having souls in them.
