When a person passes away, we often hear people claiming that “Such and such person has gone to heaven”. Such a statement is actually Kufr as it implies that the person will not be resurrected; that they have passed away and gone either to Jannah or to Jahannam.
Most people don’t realize that such
a statement has such implications; rather they offer such condolences by
imitating the Kuffaar (therefore it is a sin to utter such statements even if
they don’t intend to deny the Resurrection).
