Al-'Uthaymeen explains
that the word description (صفة) usually refers to the manner in an act is
performed. In order for the act of worship to be accepted, we have two
conditions:
-That the person has a sincere
intention to worship Allaah by it (الإخلاص)
-That the person follows the
Sunnah and not innovating.
Innovations are of six
types:
-The reason for
the act of worship.
-The type of
action.
-The extent of
how many times its done.
-The manner in
which it is done.
-The time the
action of worship is performed in.
-The place the
action of worship is performed in.
