Ar-Rudd 'ala al-Jahmiyyah (Part 4): Doubts of The Jahmiyyah in The Quraan

11- Allaah, the Most High, Says:

On the Day when Allah will gather the Messengers together and say to them: "What was the response you received (from men to your teaching)? They will say: "We have no knowledge, verily, only You are the All-Knower of all that is hidden (or unseen, etc.)."” [al-Maaidah 5:109]

Here they have denied having any knowledge, however, another Aayah states:

Such will be brought before their Lord, and the witnesses will say, "These are the ones who lied against their Lord!"” [Hood 11:18]

The Jahmiyyah claim that there is a negation of knowledge then how can they self-witnesses on that Day?

Response: the denial of knowledge means the misguidance their nations innovated. As for being witnesses, then they witness the truth and admitting of their deeds.

12 - Allaah, the Most High, Says:
“Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant).Looking at their Lord (Allah);”” [al-Qiyaamah 75: 22-23]
And,

No vision can grasp Him, but His Grasp is over all vision” [al- An’aam 6:103]

They deny seeing Allaah.

Further discussion on this to follow.

13- Allaah, the Most High, Says:

"Cause Fir'aun's (Pharaoh) people to enter the severest torment!"  [Ghaafir 40:46]

And,

Verily, the hyprocrites will be in the lowest depths (grade) of the Fire; no helper will you find for them.” [an-Nisaa’ 4:145]

The Jahmiyyah claim that the Kuffaar are promised a severe punishment but this is contradicted with what is said about the hypocrites.

Response: punishment afflicted on in the Hellfire is relative to the person being punished. Fir’awn and his people will have a punishment that none has ever been punished by.

As for the levels of the Hellfire, then they are seven; Jahannam (89:23), Lathaa (70:15), Hutamah (104:4), Saqar (74:42), as-Sa’eer (76:4), Jaheem (79:36) and Haawiyyah (101:9).

The hypocrites will be at the very bottom of these levels. Thus, the degree of punishment is relative and not comparative.
