Question: may Allah grant you with goodness, what is the ruling on a person shouting "Takbeer" and the people behind him say Allahu Akbar in unison - as they do during protests? Is this action an innovation?
Answer: There is no basis for this.

Allah (the Exalted and Glorified) said:
“Do not obey those who’s heart is negligent with Our Remembrance
and follows his own desires and his affairs are lost” [18:28]
This is the case for many people today, with great regret.
Allah has closed their hearts in remembering Him, so they followed their
desires and their affairs are lost. They spend hours, rather days, and they haven’t
achieved anything.

[About information which displeases the believer] You reject it in the heart, on the tongue and explain the truth to the people. It is not permitted to spread it and send it to others. Some ignoramus send images and want others to see it.
This
is wrong!
Do
you want Baatil (falsehood) to spread?
…
Some
people spread these things on social media but they are helping to spread falsehood!
Rather,
if something like this comes to you – delete it from your phone and don’t send
it to others.
Subhanallah!
Questioner:
many of the Muslim youth use their time to follow the news from the Kuffar to
find out what oppression is taking place against the Muslims, and they spend a
long time doing this…
Answer:
Once you know it’s happening, what’s going to happen?
“Such
and such people have done this” and “others have done that.”
What
are they going to do now? Do they have a solution? Do they have anything to
offer to stop it or to reduce the oppression?
They
only follow these things to find out what is happening, nothing else.
Everything
has to be balanced between transgression (Ifraat) and negligence (Tafreet)
Wasting
your time in following these things and watching at clips with the latest
information, wastes so much time and this is transgression.
And transgression
is blameworthy in all things.
Transgression
is to go beyond the bounds with that which is appropriate.
