ash-Shuraim, Imaam and Khateeb of the Haram in Makkaah, Tweeted:
Some people insult the
People of Knowledge and those who give Da’wah. The Prophet [Peace and Blessings
of Allaah be upon him] said, “Do not insult the rooster (when it crows in the
morning even if it disturbs you) because it wakes people up for Fajr.” [Reported by al-Bukhaaree (3303 and Muslim (2729))] He
prohibited us from insulting an animal which has no intelligence so how about
those who insult the scholar and the people of Da’wah who call people to goodness?
