How to Benefit from Ramadhaan (11) - Diet: It is a well known Sunnah to break ones fast with dates. Some of the scholars have given this Sunnah importance to every aspect of our diets. Allaah, the Most High, Says about the diet of the people of Jannah: 

"They will choose from the wide range of the fruits of Jannah, and every type of meat that they desire."(56:20-21)

Ibn Qudaamah says about this that it is Mustahab to start your meals with fruit and then later move on to eating from the main dish. Likewise, this also from the etiquette's of serving the guest.
